Padel Court - Frequently Asked Questions - FAQ

August 30 , 2024

1. What’s the size of a padel court?

Answer: A padel court is 20m long by 10m wide.

End/corner walls are 4 meters and side walls 3 meters.

A padel court requires at least 11×21 meters, plus an extra 0.5 meters on each side.

2. What’s the difference between tennis and padel courts?

Answer: Padel courts are designed for four players and are roughly 25% smaller than the size of a tennis court.

  3. What are the options for glass panels and how should I choose?

Answer: Currently, the following three solutions are in line with the regulations issued by FIP:

1. 10mm tempered glass: the cheapest solution. However, it is easily subject to breakage and fragmentation and therefore the least safe solution. It is used exclusively for standard or classic courts.

2. 12mm tempered glass: it is slightly more expensive, but provides more safety for the club and players and can be used with both standard, panoramic, and super-panoramic glass.

3. 6+6mm laminated (or laminated) glass: the only variation currently existing to tempered, consisting of 2 pieces of 6mm glass joined by a thin adhesive film. Used on all types of courts.

Even if the inner glass breaks in the court, the outer glass should support its weight and fall. It is also the most expensive solution.

4. Is the court resistant to corrosion?

Answer: Yes. The steel parts, including mesh panels, columns, and tubes are hot-dip galvanized with electrostatic zinc powder treatment, which offers exceptional corrosion resistance.

5. What is the total cost of a turnkey full-court system?

Answer: The total cost depends on various factors like the materials and components chosen, the competition level, your geographic location (shipping, transportation, labor), and the level of sub-base preparation. Please consult our sales representatives to give you a full estimate.

6. How many courts can be loaded in one container?

Answer: Four courts (including artificial grass, all parts and components) can be loaded into one 40HQ container, and two courts in one 20GP container.

7. What are the common sub-base options for padel courts?

Answer: Padel courts are usually installed on top of a well-compacted and level surface, preferably on an asphalt or concrete sub-base layer.

In Conclusion

Padel courts require a 20m x 10m space, with durable, corrosion-resistant materials and various glass panel options for safety. Costs depend on materials and location, and four courts fit in a 40HQ container. Asphalt or concrete sub-bases are common for stability.
